Objectives of SKP:

SCPH supports generally the swiss research in polar regions (arctic and antarctic); the Committee understands itself as mediator and information place between the swiss research scientists and international research organisations. SCP further serves as a platform to a scientific spreading of the matter of the polar research in the public and to stimulate interdisciplinary contacts in specialist circles.

Die SKPH unterstützt generell die schweizerische Forschung in den Polargebieten (Arktis und Antarktis); sie versteht sich als Vermittlerin und Informationsstelle zwischen Schweizer Forschern und internationalen Forschungsorganisationen, ferner dient sie als Plattform zur wissenschaftlichen Verbreitung der Anliegen der Polarforschung in der Oeffentlichkeit und zur Anregung interdisziplinärer Kontakte in Fachkreisen.
