General information and objectives

In der Schweiz wird ein interdepartementales Informations- und Koordinationsorgan Umweltbeobachtung (IKUB) geschaffen (Entwurf Antrag EDI vom 3.5.1995). Dieses Organ vereint die wichtigsten Produzenten, Lieferanten und Nutzer von umweltrelevanten Daten auf Bundesebene. Die Kantone sollen im IKUB angemessen vertreten sein. Das IKUB bezweckt folgende Ziele:
  • Es ist Informations- und Koordinationsplattform für nationale, kantonale und internationale Beobachtungs- und Erhebungsaktivitäten.

  • Es zeigt Lücken, Datenzugangswege und Abgabepraxen, Doppelspurigkeiten oder methodische Probleme bestehender Beobachtungseinrichtungen auf und gibt den zuständigen Stellen Empfehlungen ab.

  • Es unterstützt Auswertungen fachübergreifender Art.
