Specialties of Thomas Tütken:
As geochemist and palaeontologist my main research focus is on the isotope geochemistry of skeletal remains of fossil vertebrates such as dinosaurs, mammals (including humans), sharks. My research interests are: • Development of new isotope proxies for bioapatite • Diet and fossil foodwebs (Ca isotopes) • Thermophysiology of fossil vertebrates (clumped isotopes) • Palaeoclimate reconstruction (O isotopes) • Provenance/mobility of humans/animals (Sr isotopes) • Diagenesis of bones & teeth
