Specialties of Birgit Habermann:
Birgit Habermann has studied ecology and agroforestry, and she has a PhD in Development Studies. She has worked in Pakistan, Kirgistan, Thailand and East Africa, but her main focus is currently on Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda. Her research interests are critical reflections on knowledge production, participation and the construction of narratives in natural resource management. She is working on participatory technology development and adaptation in the livestock sector in East Africa.
