Abstract:
Roughly 50 years after susbtantial changes in the landscape of Val Müstair (CH), measures of revitalisation were taken concerning the river Rom. In an extensive scheme the riverbed was broadend and brought back to a more natural state. Ten years after completion this study seeks to answer the question whether the goal of increasing the biodiversity was met. Therefore different aspects of the riverside vegetation will be surveyed and compared to the former data as well as other natural, or near-natural watercourses.
