Abstract:
Inventories were carried out in the 1920s and in 1942, but the original data are lost. Systematic, documented inventories were made in 1962 and 1982 by ETH Zurich. The next inventory will take place in 2012, and thereafter every 20 years. A description of the development of the forest until 1982 can be found in Brang et al. (eds.), 2011. Waldreservate - 50 Jahre natürliche Waldentwicklung in der Schweiz. Haupt-Verlag, Bern, 270 pp.
