Abstract:
The Ichneumonidae (parasitic wasps or ichneumon flies) have only been addressed very inadequately in Switzerland, especially in alpine habitats, and new species are discovered at a regular rate. During several collecting seasons between 2003 and 2007, we collected large numbers of insects by sweep netting and Malaise traps. The ichneumonids were separated and are now studied group by group. The subfamily Diplazontinae has already been finished, with 40 species recorded from Alp Flix. Three of these species, Diplazon flixi, Diplazon zetteli, and Sussaba roberti, were new to science and have been described within the framework of a comprehensive revision (Klopfstein, 2015). Additional groups are now under revision, most of all the subfamilies Pimplinae, Poemeniinae, and Orthocentrinae.
