Deutsche Zusammenfassung:
Die Libellen (Odonata) eines kleinen alpinen Plateaus an der Waldgrenze in den Zentralalpen wurde untersucht. Ihre Habitate wurden charakterisiert. Von den 18 gefundenen Arten werden 5 als Einwanderer erwogen. 19 Larvenhabitate, unterschiedlich in Struktur und Ökologie, sind beschrieben. Die obere Limite des vertikalen Verteilung aller vorkommenden Libellen, speziell der alpinen Arten wird, unter Berücksichtigung der klimatischen Bedingungen und Habitatverfügbarkeit, diskutiert. Lestes dryas und Sympetrum flaveolum sind dabei von speziellem Interesse wegen ihrer Habitatansprüche, so auch alle Somatochlora-Arten wegen ihrer Koexistenz an der Waldgrenze.

English Abstract:
The dragonflies (Odonata) of a small alpine plateau at the tree line in the Central Alps were surveyed from 1989 to 1997 and their habitats characterized. Of the 18 recorded species, 5 spp. are considered migrants. 19 larval habitats differing in structure and ecology are described. The upper limit of the vertical distribution of all recorded dragonflies, especially of the alpine spp. is discussed with respect to climatic conditions and habitat availability. Lestes dryas and Sympetrum flaveolum are of special interest because of their habitat requirements, and so are three Somatochlora spp. in respect to their co-existence at the tree line.
