Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to show the coherence of the state funding of UNESCO World Natural Heritage Switzerland. Also, a comparison between the World Natural Heritage Sites and the Swiss parks is made. Various actors were involved with the help of expert interviews. In addition, different challenges have been uncovered and existing needs for action were identified. The results have been evalu- ated with the Mayring's "content structuring" tool. To alleviate the current unsatisfactory situation regarding the World Heritage, the results have illustrated varied solutions. In addition to resolving the legal anchoring of the World Heritage in the nature and homeland protection law, the creation of a World
Heritage Policy of its own is proposed. A further solution instrument is the development of a joint plat- form of various Swiss departments to better coordinate World Heritage Sites. Proposals for solutions regarding the use of synergies and specific services have also been made. Subsequently they are being discussed and a conclusion with a review and an outlook on the bachelor thesis is made.
