Abstract:

Leading questions:
Between 1920 and 1941, Pictet achieved a major work related to the Rhopalocera of the Swiss National Park.(Pictet, 1942). More than fifty years later, Besson (1998) performed a comparative study in six sites in order to measure the evolution of the alpine butterfly fauna. There is still a lack of data and especially in Val Trupchun; moreover this group of butterflies is very interesting due to its sensitivity; Rhopalocera are very reactive when changes in their environment occur. The aim of our research is to evaluate the present condition of Rhopalocera species living in Val Trupchun. We will used the method developed by Besson (1998) which can be reproduced in order to do the monitoring of this group
