Abstract:
The Spöl Schlamm Recovery Program started just after the silt event in March 2013 and incudes 4 projects parts:
- The first is a study to monitor the early phase of recovery for the Spöl and is linked to the normal monitoring program initiated in 1999 at Punt Periv. Additional sampling of springs as sources of refugia for makrozoobenthos is included.
- The second project on sediment dynamics and colmatation in the Spöl is a nice to have and can be completed in 2013/14 in collaboration with C Schluchter.
- The third is an extension of the regular Spöl minitoring programme in space and time
- The fourth is a survey of teh recovery of fish popualtions (by the canton of Grisons)
