Abstract:
Species-rich rassland habitats have become very rare in Central Europe including the Alps, due to the intensification of agricultural use in the fertilised meadows and pastures (frequency and amount of fertiliser application, number of cuts, intensity of grazing, first use of grassland in spring, and others) as well as to the succession of abandoned unfertilized grassland. In the year 2013 A. Radtke made an inventarisation of phytodiversity in fertilised grassland of the Swiss Val Müstair analysing the field data by linear regression of selected geographical and edaphic parameters and of various factors of agricultural use by the farmers. This master thesis, finished in April 2014, will be basis for the study we want to carry out (2014 and 2015) in specific grassland habitats like forest edges, abandoned grassland, embankments of country roads and lanes and others, in order to compare the phytodiversity of fertilised grassland (A. Radtke) and the specific grassland habitats (this study) and to analyse the relevance of the specific small grassland habitats to the phytodiversity of the cultural open landscape.
