Abstract:
Mountain regions such as the European Alps have an extraordinarily high biodiversity, making them central to global nature and landscape conservation. Overuse and development have led to significant biodiversity and area loss in recent decades. Alpbionet2030 aims to develop a concept for the conservation of species and ecosystems in the Alpine region. Transnational cooperation shall be consolidated and strengthened and common planning tools made available.
