Abstract:
The project is to study the life, behaviour, biotope and the population of the capercaillie (tetrao urogallus) and to try to find out, why the population is decreasing. The results should suggest what could be done to prevent a further population decline and hopefully to cause an increase.

Leading questions:
Why is the capercaillie population declining?
