Objectives of NFP45:

Das NFP hat zum Ziel, die interdisziplinäre Forschung in bisher vernachlässigten, aber wichtigen Bereichen der Sozialpolitik zu intensivieren. Dazu gehören alternative Ansätze der sozialen Sicherung, die Behinderten in der Schweiz, die Erwerbslosigkeit und das Gesundheitswesen. Vorrangig sollen Grundlagen für mittelfristig anstehende sozialpolitische Entscheide sowie statistische Grundlagen im Hinblick auf eine spätere Nutzung erarbeitet werden.

The aim of this NRP is to strengthen interdisciplinary research in hitherto neglected but important areas of social policy. This includes alternative approaches to social security, disabled people in Switzerland, unemployment and health. As a first priority, the programme will develop basic principles for medium-term social policy decisions and statistical baselines for subsequent use.
