General information and objectivesHazRi will bring together previously separate and rather independent teams in the ETH domain working on hazards processes, consequences of hazards (e.g. ecosystem scientists) and those persons involved in the quantification of risk and development of warning systems to develop new knowledge and new community based models. In addition to some 15 participating faculty and many of their PhD-students, post-doctoral associates and technicians it is expected there will be additional dedicated technicians, engineers, and post doctoral associates and PhD-students from the new graduate school being formed. Faculty involved in this ERU will direct their resources (both personnel and shared instrumentation) toward real-active engagement in the program.
