Specialties of Peter Bebi:
Mountain Forest Ecology, Snow Avalanches

Development and ecosystem services of mountain forest under climate change.
Mountain forests fulfill important ecosystem services such as the protection against avalanches and other natural hazards. In our research we investigate
(1) how mountain forests are changing under the effect of climate- and land-use change
(2) how these changes influence ecosystem services and
(3) which adaptation mechanisms are adequate.
