Florent Joerin is Director of the Research Institute INSIT at the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO), Heig-vd, Yverdon.
From 2003 to 2012, he was the holder of the Canadian Chair of research in territorial decision-making and professor in the Superior school of territorial planning and regional development of the Laval University, Quebec, Canada.
He has been director of the Research Center in planning and development - Laval University (2010-2011).
