Genetic and epigenetic changes in response to a changing environment
We are studying various aspects of plant reproduction in changing environments. Firstly, we are interested in how the mode of reproduction (sexual vs asexual) influences the success of establishment after deglaciation. Secondly, we are investigating genetic and epigenetic responses to divergent selection that is associated with habitat fragmentation. Finally, we are interested in the role epigenetic changes play in response to stress, and whether these influence the fitness of the progeny.
