Specialties of Martin Geilhausen:
Martin is a Physical Geographer, Geologist and Soil Scientist by studies and graduated at the University of Bonn in 2007. He worked at the Department of Geography, University of Bonn (2004-2007), at the Department of Geography and Geology, University of Salzburg (2008-2012) and holds research and teaching position at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (since 2012).

Martin’s research interests include all issues of alpine geomorphology and environmental change, the main focus being sediment budgets and routing in the disturbance regime landsystems of glacier forefields. Recent work is related to environmental monitoring using close range remote sensing techniques, visualization, knowledge management and outreach techniques. Martin´s teaching activities include GIS and Digital Terrain Analyses, Remote Sensing, Natural Hazards and Nature Management, Physical Geography and Geomorphology.
