Specialties of Gunter Stephan:
international trade, global climate change and the funding of adaptation
Trade might be viewed as a kind of autonomous adaptation to climate change and variability as trade can help to reduce direct impacts of global climate change on a region’s welfare, but is itself vulnerable to climate change and variability. Adaptation might reduce the negarive impact climate chnage might have on international trade. In particular it significantly can help to reduce terms of trade effects.
