General information and objectives
The Sound Science Initiative (SSI) is a national, quick-response electronic network that allows participating scientists to get informed about and respond to four global environmental issues--biodiversity loss, climate change, ozone depletion, and population growth. SSI was born out of the scientific community's growing concern over damage to the earth's natural systems.
